Temcecula 18 Vemma
Heading out to start Junior Olympic competition on June 25th, 18 Vemma was well prepared and excited about the future competition. Seeded 21st overall going into the tourney, 18 Vemma lost their first match versus River City then went on to finish their 2 day pool play with a 4-1 record putting them 1st in their pool. On the third day put them in a three team pool in the upper bracket, they finished that pool with a 1-1 record losing only to Gold Cal. That night the crossover match to stay in the upper bracket, drew North Dallas in a great game 18 Vemma won which assured them top 8 in the tournament. Sunday morning they drew Atlantis VBC, and in a tough match they lost in three games which gave 18 Vemma a 5th place finish in the 2008 Junior Olympics!! Bonus accomplishments went to Freshman Raquel Ortiz and Senior Ashlyn Trimble, as they were selected to the Junior Olympic All Tournament team. Great Job girls and Congratulations!!!
